This unique 'guerilla marketing' event was co-hosted by Auto Conduct and the Original Venice Crew Mustangs in Gardena, California. OVC Mustangs is co-located in Carroll Shelby's old headquarters facility, where they're building a series of 36 1965 Shelby G.T. 350 R-Model continuation cars. If you'd like to learn more about OVC Mustangs, see the following links:
This event was the brainchild of the group, Auto Conduct (www.autoconduct.com), who's mission is "Encouraging digital automotive enthusiasts to experience the cars of their dreams in real life and in their neighborhoods". The theme for the day was, Purpose Built, and if you know (or care) about Shelby G.T. 350s, you'll understand why that title is so fitting for the OVC Mustangs!
So the day started out early for ShelbyGuy. I think I was the first to arrive, so here's my obligitory self-serving Shelby photos...
Then, once the OVC Mustangs gate, opened I took a few moments to poke around the shop. Be sure to note some of the things lurking in the backgrounds of each photo.
Then as more cars arrived, I moved outside for more photos.
A really, really nice Cobra, just sorta hangin' out in the shop!
See ya down the road!
