Queen's Necklace, you ask?
This is a special place.
Queens Necklace describes the view of the shoreline/beach that fronts Redondo Beach, California. The beach area runs right along 'The Strand' that overlooks the beach. You can really get a flavor for the title when you are up high on the northwest side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, looking down on Redondo Beach.
During the day, the surf provides the name. And at night, for clearly different reasons, it assumes a completely different look...perhaps 'evening wear'?
So today I thought, what a great place to photograph the Shelby! Why waste a perfectly terrific view on just a few waves and sand...
Today was also special because the view was so clear you could see to the north well beyond Malibu, the entire Santa Monica Bay and Santa Monica Mountains in the distance! This is of course January in Southern California!
The view here includes Santa Monica, downtown Los Angeles, and all the beach communities: Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, and El Segundo. A rather splend day all around!
